Who is Angel Theory?

Angel Theory is an actress, dancer, and choreographer by profession, and American by nationality. She is well known for starring in AMC’s The Walking Dead as Kelly, and Facebook Watch’s Kinderfanger as Olivia.

Angel Theory – Age, Parents, Siblings

Angel Theory’s birth took place on May 19, 1999, in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York, USA. Her single mother Anna Simpson is also an actress and a singer who is best known for starring in the film Our Song alongside Kerry Washington and Melissa Martinez. There is limited information when it comes to her biological father and siblings.

Theory began training as a dancer from a young age. She learned to dance at the Broadway Dance Center, EXPG Studios, and Peridance Studios. There are no details of the high school from which she graduated.

Early Days

Theory’s hearing loss was known by her mother, close friends, family members, and her management company IKIGAI Management. As her career as a dancer and choreographer greatly depended on hearing, she was not ready to face the fact that she might go completely deaf.

In 2017, when she was 17 years old, her agent emailed her saying that The Walking Dead was looking to cast a person who was a hard of hearing/deaf role.

Although Angel Theory was never interested in acting, she did try out for the role. Although the role of Connie went to Lauren Ridloff, an actress who is also deaf, the writers were so impressed with Theory’s audition that they created a new role for her- Connie's little sister, Kelly.

This is considered her breakthrough role and has been portraying the character since season 9. She will be reprising her role in season 11 (the final season of the series).

Angel Theory is currently an executive producer as well as playing the character Olivia in Facebook Watch’s Kinderfanger. Moreover, she has appeared in Kelly Clarkson’s 2020 music video for I Dare You and an appearance in the musical comedy-drama TV series Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (2020).
