Anne Dickerson is the founder and chief executive of the 15 Minutes group and has been so for the last 19 years. Above all, she is best known as the wife of John Dickerson, co-anchor of CBS This Morning.

Anne Dickerson was born Anne McKeehan on December 10, 1970. Her mother Betty McKeehan, worked as a realtor while her father Leonard B. McKeehan is the owner and founder of Tennessee Forms. She was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Early Days

Soon after graduation, Anne Dickerson worked for A-Pix Entertainment and in 1993 was promoted to head of business affairs. She also worked as a television producer for the National Geographic Specials as well as a writer and developer for children’s television. As this did not give her job satisfaction, she ventured to change the course of her career.

15 Minutes group

Dickerson soon had the brilliant idea to help writers and authors reach their goals. Thus she founded the 15 Minutes group in 2000 and currently serves as its chief executive. She has been doing this for more than 18 years. But what does '15 Minutes' mean and how does it work?

She explained in the series of tweets dated 21 September 2018, 

"At my very first job out of college, while on a business trip, a much more senior banker in my firm shoved me against an elevator wall and tried to kiss me. I was 22. I felt helpless and furious and shocked. He was in his mid 30’s and married with three kids. I had thought work was a place you were safe. Yes, there was drinking.

The next day he said something along the lines of “you’re not going to say anything about this, are you? He was one of a small group (of only men) who determined the amount of my bonus.

I remained so angry, I eventually went to see a lawyer. He told me it would be his word against mine and since there was no one else around, would be impossible to prove. I didn’t pursue it. I left the firm. He was promoted.

I didn’t tell my parents, I didn’t want them to worry about me traveling for work. Its been 26 years and I don’t recall the date, and I certainly do not know the time, or the place. But I do know exactly who he was.”
