Who is Ashley Liao?

Ashley Liao is a young Chinese-American actress who has been in Hollywood for some years now. She is best known for her role as Lola Wong in the series Fuller House (the spinoff of Full House) and her social media pages which are filled with posts of her energetic days.

Ashley Liao was born on 2001, October 21 in Hollywood, California, USA. Further facts on her parents, siblings, high school/education, and the rest of the family are currently unavailable.

But we do know that Liao took some improv classes at Second City in Hollywood, California to enhance her acting skills and that she is of Chinese ethnicity.

Ashley Liao is far too young to be married and have a husband or children. As for boyfriends, she is rumored to be dating her Fuller House co-star Michael Champion, since March 2016. But there are no facts to support these rumors and neither of them has confirmed nor denied their relationship. 

Oddly, her co-star Soni Nicole Bringas is also rumored to be dating Champion. This whole love triangle may be all the fans wanting them to date!

Scrolling through her Instagram page, we found some pics of Liao with a mystery boy posted by her side, and a corsage on her hand- on January 1, 2018. 

Liao had captioned the pic, “Happy New Year! This year has been filled with love and laughter. I love you, Addison hehe comment ship names” The picture was of them going to the winter formal!

On May 21, 2018, she posted a picture of herself with a boy going to the prom!

The pic was captioned, “PROM!! special thanks to my talented grandma for helping me make my dream dress a reality #Prom 2018 #DesignedByMe comment pink emojis!!!!"

But we still believe Liao is single, very much focused on her career, education, and being a normal teenager. We wish her all the best!

Ashley Liao – Career

Early Days

Liao is still a teenager but has found success at such a young age. Although since 2016, she is best known for her role in the American sitcom, Fuller House as Lola Wong, her career started to take off in 2014. That year she landed a role in an episode of the American sitcom, Bad Teacher (2014). 

Talking about her acting career and her Introduction to Full house, she recalled,

“I started doing acting [with] community theater. In fifth grade, I started doing plays and musicals, and that’s kind of where I fell in love with all the bright lights, and the production, and the very fast pace of everything. It’s so funny, I actually didn’t want to go to my very first audition, because I was really nervous. 

But my mom was like, ‘You know what, just go and do it. The worst thing they can say is no, and then we’ll just move on.’ And I ended up getting the lead role of Dorothy [for The Wizard of Oz] in my second production. That was a lot of fun.”

Ashley Liao has also appeared in other shows such as Fresh Off the Boat (2016) as Audrey, The Kicks (2016) as Parker Zhao, Speechless (2018) as Maddie, Great News (2017) as Moana, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn (2016) as Syd etc.

In terms of movies, Ashley Liao has acted in movies namely, Fatrick (2014) as Young Barbara Wu, Jessica Darling’s It List (2016) as Manda, Lemonade Mafia (2017), as Stank, Disney Plus' Secret Society of Second Born Royals (2019). In 2019, Liao will portray the characters Ryan and Young Sasha in the films Blue and Always Be My Maybe respectively.
