Who is DanTDM?

DanTDM, born Daniel Middleton, is a YouTuber, Gamer, Vlogger, and author by profession and British by nationality. He is well known as DanTDM (DanTheDiamondMinecart) for his Minecraft gameplay. He formerly used the name The Diamond Minecart.

DanTDM– Age, Parents, Siblings

DanTDM’s birth took place on 8 November 1991 in Aldershot, England. He was born Daniel Robert Middleton and was raised along with a younger sibling, a brother. While he was still young, his parents divorced and were raised in a single-parent household.

For education, DanTDM attended the University of Northampton. His ethnicity is English.

DanTDM – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce

DanTDM married his longtime girlfriend Jemma Middleton on March 18, 2013. They had dated for years before finally tying the knot. 

On August 17, 2019, he shared that he and his wife Middleton are expecting a child together. Their son Asher Middleton was born on January 5, 2020. The couple is living happily without any rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

DanTDM – Career

YouTuber

DanTDM’s younger brother was the one who introduced him to the game Minecraft. While a student at the University, he already had a YouTube channel PokemanDanLv45 dedicated to the Pokémon game. Before getting into YouTube he started out stacking shelves at Tesco.

In 2012, he created a gaming channel named The Diamond Minecart. Viewers and subscribers flocked to his gameplay which mostly consisted of an audience of ages 5–10.  Later on, he changed his YouTube channel’s name to TheDiamondMinecart // DanTDM, and on 12 December 2016, he began to use the short form DanTDM.

Since 2016 his gaming videos have been less focused on Minecraft and include gameplays of Roblox, Tomodachi Life, Fortnite, etc.

In 2017 DanTDM starred in web series called DanTDM Creates a Big Scene alongside other social media influencers. The series aired on YouTube Red but ran for only 6 episodes.  He has also had a guest appearance at Cheltenham Literature Festival and has toured in the US, UK, and Australia.

As an author

In addition to being a YouTuber, DanTDM is also an author. On 6 October 2016, his graphic novel Trayaurus and the Enchanted Crystal was released. The novel, which is suitable for all ages went on to become a commercial success, spending three weeks at the top of the list of bestselling books.

He has won several Kids' Choice Awards as well as set around 10 Guinness World Records for his skills in gaming and presenting.

DanTDM’s net worth is estimated to be around $35 Million. In 2017 he was listed as of Highest-Paid YouTube Stars by Forbes with an annual salary/income of $16.5 million.

On social media, DanTDM is active on Twitter, and Instagram, with millions of followers but, is absent from Facebook. On his YouTube channel, he has gained over 21.6 million subscribers.  Also, he has an official website where he sells his merchandise and tour tickets.
