Florian Munteanu began his career as a boxer. He fought t-70 amateur fights, but there are no mentions of him in the professional world.
He, later on, went on to work as a fitness model. His musculature and body structure earned him the nickname Big Nasty, which was coined by his fans. As his fanbase grew, so did his social media followers.
He was also made the ambassador of a fighting organization based in Bucharest, Romania – SuperKombat.

The year 2016 was a big year for him as he made his cameo as Razvan in the German short drama Bogat. Florian Munteanu was then signed with The Gersh Agency in Los Angeles, California. In October 2018, Munteanu was selected as the ambassador of the fast-food chain Domino's Pizza.
In early 2018, actor Sylvester Stallone announced Florian Munteanu would be portraying Viktor Drago, his character Ivan Drago’s son, in Creed: The Birth of a Legend. As he was referred to as a "professional heavyweight boxer” or a " mixed martial arts fighter", there was a lot of confusion about his professional background, as there was no mention of a professional boxing career.
He has since starred in the films Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), The Contractor (2022), Creed III (2023), Borderlands (2024), and the TV series Vikings: Valhalla (2024).
