Although his work in Prison Break gained him diverse roles in the future, James Hiroyuki Liao’s breakthrough came in the year 2013 with the role of Jay Lee in the police crime drama Unforgettable. He appeared in 34 episodes of the show, from 2013 to 2016.
Over the years, James Hiroyuki Liao has starred in the films Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins (2021).
