Who is Kevin Sussman?

Kevin Sussman is an actor by profession and American by nationality. He is best known for starring in the series Ugly Betty as Walter, and in The Big Bang Theory as Stuart Bloom.

Kevin Sussman was born on December 4, 1970, in Staten Island, New York, USA. The name of his mother and father is not shared with the public. His parents raised him alongside his three siblings- older brothers Brian Sussman, Andy Sussman, and Dan Sussman. He also has two younger step-siblings- brother Greg and sister Stacey.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Kevin Sussman attended New Dorp High School. He went on to attend the College of Staten Island for a year before transferring to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, from where he graduated in 1991. Also, he studied drama at HB Studio located in Greenwich Village, New York City.

His ethnicity is Ashkenazi jew.

Kevin Sussman – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce

Kevin Sussman married his girlfriend Alessandra Young on 3 January 2006. He was married to her until their divorce was finalized in 2017. He and his ex-wife do not have children together.

Currently, he is dating a mystery woman, whom he often features on his social media pages. The couple seems to be started their romantic relationship in 2018.

Kevin Sussman – Career

Early Days

Sussman began his career as an actor in 1996. His debut appearance was in an episode of Law & Order’s Custody episode the same year. This was followed by minor roles in the films Liberty Heights (1999), Kissing Jessica Stein (2001), Sweet Home Alabama (2002), Little Black Book (2004), Funny Money (2006), etc and in the TV series Ghost Stories (1998), Third Watch (1999), The Sopranos (2000), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2003), ER (2004), among others. He also worked in commercials in his early career i.e. around the early to mid-2000s.

Finally, Kevin Sussman landed the role of Walter in the TV series Ugly Betty. He portrayed the character from 2006 to 2007, for a total of 20 episodes. Although this is not considered his breakthrough role, appearance on the hit series did gain him much core work.

Films, Series

Since 2008, Kevin Sussman has appeared in the films Made of Honor (2008), Killers (2010), Freeloaders (2012), to name a few. Most of his work is widely recognized in the episodes of TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2008), The Middleman (2008), The Mentalist (2010), Weeds (2012), Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015), etc.

Among all his TV appearances, he is most recognized for playing Stuart Bloom in the sitcom The Big Bang Theory. He was cast in the said role in 2009 as a guest star and his role was later changed to series regular. Sussman played the character until the series ended in 2019- for a total of 84 episodes. Recently, he was cast as Mark Roessler in the TV mini-series The Dropout, which premiered in 2022.
