Who is Kumar Rocker?

Kumar Rocker is a college baseball pitcher and is American by nationality. He currently plays for Vanderbilt Commodores and was a top prospect for the 2018 Major League Baseball draft (MLB). His father is Tracy Rocker who played in the National Football League (NFL).

Kumar Rocker’s birth took place on November 22, 1999, in Montgomery, Alabama, USA. His father is former NFL player Tracy Rocker, who is of African-American descent and his mother is named Lalitha Rocker, who is of Indian descent.

He is not the only child of his parents and has a younger sibling - a brother named David Rocker, a professional footballer.

For education, he attended North Oconee High School. After graduation in 2018, he committed to Vanderbilt University to play college baseball.

His ethnicity includes African-American and Indian.

Kumar Rocker – Career

Early Days

While a junior in high school, Kumar Rocker had a 1.63 earned run average (ERA) with 68 strikeouts in 55 2⁄3 innings. He also played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game and Perfect Game All-American Classic and for the USA Baseball 18U National Team.

MLB

Until graduation from high school, he was considered one of the top prospects for the 2018 Major League Baseball draft (MLB). But due to signability concerns, Rocker was only selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 38th round. So instead he committed to Vanderbilt University to play college baseball in the Fall of 2018.

On June 8, 2019, in a game against Duke, Rocker became the first pitcher ever to throw a no-hitter in the Super Regional round of the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
