LeeAnne Locken is an American reality TV star, host, and model well known for starring in Bravo TV’s Real Housewives of Dallas.

LeeAnne Locken’s birth took place on June 7, 1967, in Pasadena, Texas, USA. She was born as LeeAnne Wade Locken and was raised by her grandparents than her parents. Her mother had left her for the carnival when she was still a child and during the summers she would join her mother on the road.

She told The Daily Dish, “My mother actually married into the carnival circuit, so I started, because she was already in it, I would spend my summers with my mom.”

LeeAnne Locken – Dark Side of Carnival

Locken had a rough childhood as life in the carnival exposed her to a dark side of life at a very early age. She was exposed to hard drugs, mugged, beaten up, and stalked. At the age of 3, she began to face sexual abuse by a friend’s father who lived across the street from her grandmother’s house. 

This led LeeAnne Locken to have low self-esteem, suffer depression, face domestic abuse in relationships, and even attempted suicide.

LeeAnne Locken married her longtime boyfriend Rich Emberlin on 27 April 2019 after 10 years of dating and a year of engagement. Their wedding took place at the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas in front of family, friends, and acquaintances.

This is the first marriage to Locken and the third for Emberlin. Through her marriage to Emberlin, she is a stepmother to Elise Emberlin (born in 1999).

Having worked in a carnival since a young age, she learned a lot and built up her work ethic. By age 16 she started purchasing her own carnival games and employed adults to work for her. 

LeeAnne Locken’s budding business allowed her to “retire” from the carnival at 16. So she began to pursue a new career- as an actress and a model.

Having left the carnival life behind, LeeAnne Locken moved to Chicago where in her teen years and twenties worked as a model, actress, and spokesperson. In 1989 she competed in Miss USA 1989, securing a top 10 position. And while living in Los Angeles she developed her passion for acting.

Eventually, in her 30s LeeAnne Locken began to make guest appearances on TV including Miss Congeniality, Home Improvement, GCB, and Chase. Moreover, Locken has competed in TV Land’s second season of She's Got The Look where she secured the third position.

According to her LinkedIn page, she anchored a weekly news program on Plano Television Network (2007-2013), hosted Media Matters’ weekly show Luxury Dallas (2012-2013), anchored a weekly show about the Real Estate Industry from 2009-2015 and has been serving as an Owner & president of MediaMatters since 2010.

In addition, her passion for comedy led her to create commercials, one of which was chosen by the ABC Network as one of "America's Funniest Commercials".
