Her father is former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Craig Bingham and her mother is Lynne Bingham, who works in real estate. Her debut screen role was in the TV series In Between Men as Kendra Sharpe. She portrayed the character from 2010 to 2013. Margot Bingham also appeared in an episode of Golden Boy in 2013.

Finally, in 2013, she was cast as Daughter Maitland in the crime drama TV series Boardwalk Empire. She portrayed the character for 11 episodes, until 2014, and is considered her breakthrough role.
