Robbins made his Broadway debut in 2009 with the production of Brighton Beach Memoirs, where he played the lead role of Eugene Morris Jerome. He also worked in the 2011 play Arcadia and continued to work in theatre plays and made his screen debut in the mid-2010s. His first role was as Henry Johnson in the 2015 episode of the TV series Masters of Sex.
