Sara Cox – Career
After graduation from the same, Sara Cox pursued a career in modeling. She did a music video for the 1993 single Everyday by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and also appeared on the poster of Wipeout (1995), a video game.
In 1996, she was chosen to be a presenter of the show The Girlie Show, marking the beginning of her career as a presenter. Over the years she has (co) presented numerous programs namely, Born Sloppy, MTV Hot (1997), The Big Breakfast (1998), The Album Chart Show (2007), etc.
Cox joined BBC Radio 1 in 1999 and has hosted shows such as Sunday Surgery, The Radio 1 Breakfast Show, afternoon “drivetime" slot. She joined BBC Radio 2 in June 2011 and hosted Hot Gossip, Sounds of the 80s, The Great Pottery Throw Down, Love in the Countryside (2018), Back in Time for... (2018).
Apart from being a presenter, she is also an actress. The movie in which she has appeared in include The Bitterest Pill.

Sara Cox – Privacy breached!
After her marriage to Jon Carter in 2001, she was pictured sunbathing nude while on her honeymoon by The People, a British newspaper. And the newspaper printed those pictures!
Initially, Cox complained to the Press Complaints Commission. The newspaper did print an apology but she further sued the newspaper for her breach of privacy under the Human Rights Act.
The case was settled and the newspaper paid Sara Cox and Jon Carter total of £50,000 (Cox received £30,000 and Jon received £20,000). The newspaper also paid for the now ex-couple’s legal costs.
