Last Modified: 9th Sep

Alexander Skarsgård and his girlfriend Tuva Novotny are new parents!

The actor has confirmed that he and his girlfriend welcomed their first child together.

Skarsgård, 46, shared the good news while attending the season 4 premiere of Succession as he showed off a stuffed animal he was gifted on the red carpet.

The Big Little Lies star did not provide any details about his newborn’s name or sex.

Back in November 2022, news of the newborn began to circulate after Skarsgård and Novotny were pictured on and about with a baby stroller in New York City. His 43-year-old girlfriend was photographed pushing the baby carriage while The Northman actor held the baby in his arms as he walked beside her.

The first picture of the newborn with the parents came seven months after the Swedish actress debuted her baby bump. However, the pair have not officially confirmed their romantic relationship.

Back in a 2013 interview, Skarsgård talked about his own father Stellan Skarsgård, and fatherhood.

“I want to beat my dad. He had eight [kids], so I better get cracking, I guess,” he joked.

“My dad is 65, and he had a kid four years ago. My dad had kids in the ’70s, the ’80s, the ’90s, the 2000s, and the 2010s. Six with mom [My Skarsgård] and two with … his new wife [Megan Everett],” Skarsgård continued.

Previously, the True Blood alum has been in relationships with Alexa Chung, Kate Bosworth, Amanda Seyfriend, and Evan Rachel Wood.

This is the first child of the Swedish actor.

On the other hand, this is the second child for Novotny. She is also a mother to 16-year-old daughter Ella – whom she shares with ex Nicolai Bjerrum Lersbryggen.
