Nicolas Cage, 57, and wife Riko Shibata, 27, are going to be new parents. The due date as well as the gender of their child has not been yet announced.

This will be Shibata’s first child and the third child for Cage. The Family Man star is also a father to 16-year-old Kal-El and 31-year-old Weston Coppola Cage.

The couple married in February 2021 at the Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas with the bride wearing Japanese three-layered bridal kimono. This is Cage’s fifth wife as he was previously married to Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, to Elvis Presley‘s daughter Lisa Marie Presley from 2002 to 2004, to Alice Kim from 2004 to 2016, and to Erika Koike in 2019 which lasted four days.

Cage and Shibata first met in Shiga, Japan, and began dating shortly after the dissolution of Cage’s marriage to Koike. He had proposed to her via his now-wife via FaceTime and sent her the engagement ring to Japan via FedEx.

“We’re really happy together and we’re really excited to spend that time together so I finally just said, ”Look, I wanna marry you” and we got engaged on FaceTime.” the actor had said.

Speaking of their unique engagement ring, he said, “I got her a black diamond engagement ring. Her favorite color is black so she wanted the black gold, and the black diamond. I customized and personalized it and I actually sent it to her [through] FedEx.”

The newlyweds made their red carpet debut just a few months after tying the knot- at the Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles during the premiere of the film Pig. This was followed by another red carpet appearance - at the 2021 GQ Men of the Year party in November 2021.
