Since Johnny Depp’s televised defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, fans have been trying to pair up the actor with his attorney Camille Vasquez. However, despite their chemistry on camera, Vasquez denied any romantic between the pair and asserted that their relationship is strictly professional.

Now, it has come to light that Depp is indeed dating his lawyer- Joelle Rich who had represented the 59-year-old actor during his case against The Sun in November 2020. It is also been revealed that they are not yet exclusive.

Rich has had a very successful career in law and is a partner at Schillings 2011, a London-based law firm.

According to her company bio, she “helps individuals and families in the public eye protect their privacy and reputations, both in and outside of the courtroom” and she works “to defend their reputations against false and defamatory allegations in print, online, and on social media.”

Education

Joelle Rich, 37, was educated at North London Collegiate School where she attended secondary school. She later received higher education in the UK, having studied law at the University of Birmingham from 2003 to 2006.

Following graduation, she aimed for higher studies from 2006 to 2007 at BPP Law School where she specialized in Media and Entertainment, Intellectual Property and Commercial and Private Acquisitions.

Career

Soon after graduation, Rich joined DLA Piper as a Trainee Solicitor / Solicitor in August 2008. She was qualified in the intellectual property, media, and sports litigation team there and worked for the firm until July 2011 before opening her own law firm.

Children, (Ex)husband

While Rich is technically, a married woman, she is undergoing a divorce from her husband. It is unclear if she was separated from her spouse before, during, or after working with Depp. 

According to reports and her soon-to-be ex-husband share two children.

Despite her current romantic link to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, she has maintained a low profile. Her social media pages are maintained as private with little over 200 followers.
